Skin care resolutions for 2017

It’s that time of year again. The time you come up with new year’s resolutions to change your life for the better. Here are some ideas for 2017 resolutions to get the gorgeous and flawless skin you have always wished for.

  1. To add vitamins to your diet

There’s no short route to get picture perfect skin, and it won’t glow naturally unless you eat healthier. Make smart choices when it comes to food and you’ll witness the difference in skin and hair soon enough.

  1. To stop procrastinating and CLEAN MAKEUP BRUSHES

Let’s admit it. We can get too lazy to clean our makeup brushes. Ideally, it should be done every week. Acne, pimples, and other skin problems are the result of the makeup residue left on brushes.

  1. To let each makeup product absorb fully in the skin before applying the next layer.

Don’t rush! The first product settle and sink in before you apply the other. Give your skin some time to absorb primer before you top it with foundation. This will make sure that each product does its job perfectly.

  1. To not sleep with makeup

Indian drama characters may sleep with their heavy makeup and heavily worked sarees on, but it’s really not a good idea to sleep with makeup on. All that makeup on your face mixes with dirt and oil on your skin, and as a result you get breakouts.  No matter how tired you are, remove the makeup as soon as you get home to prevent breakouts.

  1. To throw away products including harsh chemicals

A week back, my friend offered me her ‘150 rupees wali lipgloss’ to put on. I tried it and I just don’t have enough words to express how stubborn it was. It just wouldn’t get off my lips. I understand it’s pretty tempting to walk in a beauty store and buy all those amazing and super affordable skincare products. Harsh chemicals in toners, cleansers and cheap beauty products do more harm than good. Throw them away right now without giving it a second thought.
