Being hearing impaired didn’t stop her

When Allah takes away something, he definitely gives something special in return. Today I would like to talk about my little sister – Aliza Munim Kazi – who is deaf by birth.  But gifted with extra talent and beauty Masha’Allah. She never took her hearing or speaking disability as her weakness. Instead she proved to be one of the strongest women ever, Alhumdullillah. And of course our parents played an important role in instilling confidence in her. The struggles and hardships they have gone through cannot be put into simple words.

Aliza is now happily married to the man who is also hearing impaired but equally talented – Munim Kazi. He secured the highest position in Indus valley in textile designing and is now working as a textile designer with Amir Adnan. They have three children and Masha’Allah all three of them can hear normally! Her inlaws are also very caring and supportive. They have a great group friends who are always there for each other. They enjoy their life to the fullest and don’t care about the people who stare at them as they talk in sign language.

She used to teach in her own school (ABSA) but due to the new arrival of baby she had to quit the job. However she could not leave her passion for work so despite of having three kids she manage to make paintings for her clients.

Her dream is to become a famous artist of Pakistan for which she is working really hard. She participates in any competition she can find on Facebook. Recently there was a live art competition at Port Grand and Aliza secured second position in it. She has also been nominated in an independence day exhibition held at Grandeur Art Gallery. Watching her chase after her dreams makes me so proud as her sister. I hope she is always blessed with happiness and success and all her aspirations come true!
